Ali Gatie is a singer, songwriter and rapper. He has had top 40 singles in multiple countries, and performs for audiences across the globe.
Originally from Yemen, Gatie’s parents left the country to move to Abu Dhabi before putting down roots in Ontario, Canada. It was then that the young singer started listening to acts which would later influence his own work, such as J Cole, Ed Sheeran and Frank Ocean. Gatie started university at the age of 18, but dropped out to pursue his passion for music. He was the winner of an online competition, RhymeStars, which saw him release singles throughout 2018 and the performer then caught the eye of Warner Records, and was signed to the record label. His videos started to gain a lot of attention online, which led to his single It’s You being streamed over 650 million times. Gatie’s career has since gone from strength to strength, with the artist releasing a full length album in 2019 which was accompanied by a short film. The album reached the top 40 in 8 countries including Australia, Canada and Germany.
Gatie continues to tour and spend time in the studio, with a worldwide tour scheduled for 2020. The extensive run of shows includes dates across Asia, America and Europe. His latest single, What If I Told You That I Love You was released to critical acclaim and is already looking to be another chart topper.
